Douglas Fir Trees
A Douglas fir can be identified by its soft, dark green/blue needles that radiate in all directions and its sweet fragrance (we like to describe it as a strong pine fragrance with a hint of orange). The branches are not as strong as other trees and not as long lasting. However, the needle retention is very good.
Noble Fir Trees
Nobles have very strong branches, holding the largest of ornaments and generally have a lower branch density to accommodate such. The Nobles range in color from a deep green to a deep blue-green. They are more expensive than most trees, but they also last longer. If properly taken care of, a fresh-cut Noble Fir should last well into January.
Nordmann Fir Trees
Nordmanns possess a unique appearance different from other Christmas tree species. The Nordmann Fir needles have a subtle light-blue underside which lights up the appearance of the layered branches, their dark green needles are short and smooth and covered with a waxy cuticle which prevents water loss. This gives Nordmann Fir a minimal fragrance so it is recommended when choosing
